Termini – Italian FS supports AHA, life-saving maneuvers against heart attacks and strokes
A group of volunteers from the AHA – American Heart Association Italy will carry out free demonstrations of life-saving maneuvers at Roma Termini station, in the area adjacent to platform 1, from Monday, June 1 to Sunday, June 7, 2015.
The Italian State Railways Group thus intends to offer its support to the AHA, a’nonprofit organization that aims to reduce deaths caused by heart attacks and strokes, through an international public awareness and information campaign.
Demonstration activities will take place daily from 2 p.m.00 to 16.00. Anyone who wishes can undergo the life-saving simulations, having the opportunity to learn the basic techniques directly.
The AHA’s initiative, called “HANDS SAVE LIFE,” aims to disseminate adequate preventive information so that everyone, in case of need, can give first aid, which, especially if timely, can be decisive in saving a human life in case of cardiac arrest.
The volunteers of theAmerican Heart Association will be available to the public for any information, including on the possibility of attending the full course (6 hours) at the authorized centers. Completion of course qualifies to use defibrillator and to be accredited on 118 emergency response lists.
