Ostia – Guidelines for the health home at Sant’Agostino presented

The meeting served to take stock of the establishment of the Of the outpatient facility within theformer St. Augustine’s Hospital, on the Paolo Toscanelli seafront in Ostia, which from December will also be a House of Health, one of five planned in Rome by the new Roman health network, presented yesterday by Lazio Regional Governor Nicola Zingaretti.
The outpatient clinic Will be open on holidays and pre-holidays, when family doctors’ offices are closed. The facility, which will be integrated with all others in the municipal area, will be active from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be complemented by the continuity of care service (medical guard). Citizens residing in the municipality or temporarily present in the territory of Ostia and its hinterland will be able to apply to it. In the outpatient clinic, the doctor will be assisted by nursing staff provided by the Asl Roma D company.
During the same meeting, the following was presented the design of the diagnostic therapeutic pathway dedicated to the patient with chronic diseases (diabetes, chronic bronchitis, heart failure), which will involve the attending physician in close collaboration with the outpatient clinics of the Health House.
The RMD ASL leadership also clarified that the Health House will be a multipurpose presidium which will integrate the social and health services already present in Sant’Agostino before the health reorganization planned by the region. They then specified that, with the remodeling of space, there will be no reduction in services related to the counseling center and TSRMEE.
