Pomezia, free prevention and screening in the pneumatic tent, the Red Cross project
A traveling pneumatic tent that will be set up in the main squares of Pomezia in order to host medical specialists for free prevention and screening days. This is the project of the Pomezia Red Cross, which, thanks to the proceeds from the management of the ice rink set up in Independence Square during the Christmas holidays, has purchased a pneumatic tent that will host days dedicated to prevention and free screening of the most common diseases starting in October.
“The municipal administration has supported the Red Cross project from the very beginning,” explains Vice Mayor Elisabetta Serra, “The ice rink set up during Christmas in Independence Square made it possible to cheer up the festivities for the little ones and at the same time contribute to the purchase of a structure that will be used for social and prevention purposes.”.
“I strongly thank the local Red Cross Committee,” adds Mayor Fabio Fucci, “which has always worked to provide assistance and services to citizens. The close collaboration established with the municipal administration allows Pomezia to now have a pneumatic tent that can be easily installed in various areas of the City, to better serve users”.
The first initiative of the project, which will start in early October in collaboration with the San Gallicano Dermatological Institute and the APAIM Association (Associazione Pazienti Italia Melanomi), will be a free melanoma screening with mapping and examination of moles through noninvasive diagnostic instrumentation. All screenings will be free with reservations required while spaces last. All days will be announced well in advance.
